In this report, I'd like to start by wishing everyone an great 2026. On the project level, of course, I hope that this year we will be able to solve some of the conflicts within our community and continue developing great tech, but I also wish every contributor a great year on the personal level!

I has been a while since I made a report, and part of the reason for this (besides chronical overworking), is that the matter has progressed very slowly. In my last note, the Steering Committee was on the verge of approving my (updated) proposal to rebuild the moderation team. The proposal was indeed accepted shortly after that note, but the process to move forward after that milestone has since then been very slow for multiple reasons:

• end of year holidays have kept all of us pretty occupied;

• the communication rate within the Steering Committee is too low.
